I adore the white space and the use of different shapes to complement each other.

Your challenge this month is use the layout to inspire one of your own.

June 10 Colour Challenge

YAY- I made it! lol

PLEASE READ

*We are pleased to announce that June the 1st, the entire DSO site will be down apart from the challenge blog and the store  because we are having a complete rebuild and will be getting our forum back- WOOT!, but to do that means we have to clean out the whole gallery and old forum to start afresh with our new one. PLEASE make sure you backup your LO’s in the gallery as they will be gone once we start redoing the site .

June Animal Kingdom Challenge

Gosh we are nearly half way through the year! the last five months have passed so quickly. We are into June and for the most of us it’s the start of the holiday season, so this months challenge might just be suited to days out at the zoo etc!

June 2010 Recipe Challenge

THIS CHALLENGE IS CLOSED 

STOP BY THE DSO FORUM FOR THE JULY RECIPE CHALLENGE

{NOTE:  DSO’s  gallery is down for a make over/upgrade, please post your LO’s on your personal blog or in the DSO Flicker Group }

Here’s how the Recipe Challenge works:

I give you a recipe and you use the ingredients (different elements) of that recipe to make a scrap page.  No food involved.

JUNE   Recipe:                                            

1 hanging item such as a charm
1 button
1 bunch leaves
2 bows
1 Striped paper
the color yellow

That’s 7 items you need on your scrap page.
You may use other elements on your LO.
You may use any of your kits for this challenge. 

 The Challenge:

• create a Scrap Layout using this months recipe.
• upload an image of your layout to your blog or the DSO Flicker Group page
• leave a comment on THIS POST before June 30th, 2010 and include a LINK to your layout.  Be sure to come back and do this, without your gallery link I cannot find you to leave you love in the Gallery and send your Posting Bonus.
• VERY Important! The email you leave in your comment will be the one I will send your posting bonus link to. Check your spam folder if you see love for your layout and didn’t get the PB.

June Font Challenge

Hi there, Nikki here, I have just come on board at DSO, designing under the name of Just Passin’ Thru. So, this is my first ever challenge hosted at DSO and I have a font challenge to kick things off.

Eduardo Recife has a great collection of some grungy freeware fonts at his super cool site, Misprinted Type. One of my favourites is Porcelain which I thought we should have a play with this month. You can click the image to visit the download page.

The challenge is simple, just create a layout or project that includes this font in some way. As the big site makeover is about to begin, you will need to upload it to your blog. If you don’t have one, you can upload our flickr group to share . Then come back here and post a link to your layout in the comments of this thread.
